In 1905... For the first time a
World Esperanto Congress, bringing together hundreds
of people from around the world, met in Boulogne-sur-Mer (France)...
In 2005... Boulogne-sur-Mer will
host the international gathering Boulogne2005 to commemorate
the centenary of that first World Esperanto Congress!
All supporters wishing to “follow in the footsteps of
Zamenhof” are invited to take part in the event!
Easter 2005: The meeting will
take place during Easter 2005, i.e. from Friday, 25
March, to Wednesday, 30 March.
 The
meeting Boulogne2005 is under the patronage of the Mayor
of Boulogne-sur-Mer, Mr Frédéric Cuvillier,
with the support of Mr Guy Lengagne,
member of the National Assembly. |
One meeting for 4 congresses
Boulogne2005 is organised by the Esperanto Federation of Northern
France (Espéranto-Nord) and combines 4 congresses:
1° extraordinary Channel Congress between
Northern France, Great Britain and Belgium,
2° the 60th Congress of SAT-Amikaro (Friends
of SAT),
3° the National Inter-association Congress
of the French Union for Esperanto (Espéranto-France),
4° the congress of the French Railway Workers
Esperanto Association.
